Eggsprout – a social network for recruiters and candidates that launched earlier this year – came out of beta Thursday after a successful three-month private testing period.
The Seattle-based start-up allows professional groups, such as associations and universities, and those catering to alumni, networking and students, to better manager their members, events and communications online.
Networks that were created during the beta period include Seattle Pacific University Career Center, Zillow alumni group, UW CSE alumni, Hawaii Jobs and Pacific Northwest Networking, among others.
“We’ve been very happy in the last two months with how our users are using their networks that they’ve created on our site,” Founder and CEO Brian Ma said. “We’ve made tons of improvements based on their feedback and are ready to open it up to the public.”
Eggsprout’s free platform allows anyone to create a professional network and add features to it, including the ability to add a forum, job board and professional profiles, as well as manage members, events and sponsors. The platform is free and supported by premium services.
