JobRadio.fm, a career advice Internet radio station, recently released an iPhone app that allows listeners to stream the station wherever and whenever they want.

The free app is available in the business section of the iTunes App store. The app plays over 2G, 3G and Wi-fi connections. It can be downloaded to your iPhone or iPod Touch, and the company is currently working on an application to support the new generation BlackBerry.

JobRadio.fm has been on air since October 2008 and is geared toward job seekers, career coaches and recruiting professionals. The station’s shows, which can be heard anytime through the iTunes radio directories, include Total Picture Radio, Secrets of the Job Hunt, Job Search Guy, Career Communique and The Savvy Jobseeker.

“This app represents the natural evolution of JobRadio”, Co-Founder Chris Russell said. “Our goal is to spread our message across as many platforms as possible and mobile devices like the iPhone offer a tremendous opportunity to gain listeners and teach people to become better job hunters.”

“Mobile devices such as the iPhone are the next wave in content distribution,” added Peter Clayton, co-founder and producer of Total Picture Radio. “One thing the current recession has shown: your job is not your career. Anyone can take advantage of the actionable career management advice from industry experts delivered through JobRadio.fm – all for free. And now, with our new iPhone app, all you need to do is tune-in is download and install the JobRadio.fm app.”

JobRadio.fm also offers career podcasts on demand and features a new piece of audio every day at http://jobradio.fm/blog. Each week, new shows enter the stream, which loops approximately eight to 10 hours of content daily. JobRadio.fm is sponsored by Simply Hired.
