The Locate Jobs Network, a loosely-affiliated group of vertical job search sites, has launched.
The network was founded by entrepreneurs Michal Wist and Matthew Blevins. The network of sites is intended to serve job seekers, employers, recruiters and staffing agencies by offering job postings and job search in specific industries.
“We’ve long held to the belief that a highly-targeted, niche approach to online recruiting and job search better serves both job candidates and the employers and recruiters seeking qualified talent,” Wist said. “In fact, that belief roughly parallels the collective thought process of a number of professionals operating in the online job board space.”
Each of the Web sites within the job board network will be targeted to a specific industry. The sites will feature jobs posted directly by employers and partners, as well as a backfill of jobs, which occur when there are no positions for a user’s search, from an unnamed large, online job search engine.
The company’s first targeted job board, Locate Sales Jobs, officially launched yesterday. The network also has sites for aerospace jobs, environmental jobs, logistics jobs, paralegal jobs, and nursing and healthcare jobs.
The sites allow users to search for jobs based on popular job titles, popular cities and nationwide and local job listings. The main network site also features a blog.
For now the niche sites only have accounts on the employer side, but they will eventually allow candidates to submit their resumes online and make those resumes available to employers. There are no fees for searching for and applying to jobs listed on the sites.
The sites will have varying rates for job posting and display advertising for employers. However, Locate Sales Jobs will allow employers to post sales jobs at below market rates during its initial launch period.

Thanks for the info. I agree that sites like these are really helpful in broadening the job search.

Helpful? Why are there more google ads than jobs returned, disguised to look like jobs?
Also, looks like it’s just ALL Indeed jobs. How is this helpful? Why not just go to Indeed and avoid the ads?

Yawn.. Another job search engine listing all Indeed jobs. What’s the point?
Is this site owned by Toyota? I think so, because if you look at the silly logo on “Locate Jobs” and the Lexus logo, they are identical. Real creative there, folks? Did you outsource your logo design to India or just grab something memorable from the web? Seriously, Google “lexus logo” and look at this silly jobs site and tell me the logos aren’t identical.
What a joke, and why does Cheezhead report on junk like this?
