They may be onto something. “Facebook chose Oodle for its track record of innovation with online classifieds,” added Facebook’s director of communications, Brandee Barker. “Oodle will be developing and powering an enhanced version of the Marketplace, which will give users new ways to buy, sell, and share listings with the people they know as well as other users on Facebook.” We sat down with Oodle CEO Craig Donato for the skinny.

The latest round of layoffs has occurred at onTargetJobs, a network of sites including BioSpace, Hcareers, RegionalHelpWanted.com and JobLoft. "In the six months that I have been here we have been working hard to consolidate the portfolio companies into a single entity with a range of 'niche' product lines," said CEO Mike Tansey. "At the same time that we were doing this we experienced a significant slowdown in certain markets that we anticipate will continue into next year. As a result we made some difficult decisions to consolidate certain functions across all of onTargetJobs. We are continuing to support and develop all of our individual brands." By Joel Cheesman - We can confirm what has been called by a source as a “massive” layoff tomorrow at CareerBuilder. This round of “rightsizing” is apparently the third since around summer 2008, however the first two were described as “pretty mild” compared to this action. Estimates are putting the number between 200-300, or roughly 10-15 percent of their labor force. Also, unlike earlier cuts, this round allegedly includes executives.
