OBING.COM GOES INTERNATIONAL WITH CANJOBS.COM
-- Largest U.S. Locally-Focused Employment Site Crosses
The Border With Canadian Acquisition—
PHOENIX— Jobing.com, the nation’s largest, locally-focused online recruitment media
provider, announced today it is acquiring CanJobs.com, a network of more than 140 local
city, provincial, and industry-specific domains in Canada. Jobing.com acquired the
assets from Ontario-based VentureLabour.com, a Farms.com company. The agreement
marks the ninth acquisition for Jobing.com and comes on the heels of being named on the
Inc. 500™ list of fastest-growing companies for the third consecutive year.
“The momentum at Jobing.com is truly exciting and I am delighted to bring our business
to Canada,” said Jobing.com Founder and CEO Aaron Matos. “CanJobs.com has built a
solid business and the Canadian economy is booming; unemployment is at a 30-year low
and we look forward to deploying our successful recruitment solutions within that
environment.”
“This acquisition continues our focused ‘multi-local’ expansion strategy, dedicated to
providing local recruiting solutions to specific local markets throughout the United
States, and now throughout North America,” Matos said. “The CanJobs.com unique
strategy of combining niche sites with local sites also provides employers with a two-
pronged approach to finding qualified applicants: first through the skills sets the
employer seeks and second by promoting the position locally.”

In just four years, Jobing.com has expanded its services with major acquisitions that
include Employcity.com, Coloradojobs.com, Jobsummit.com, the California Online Job
Network, Rhinomite.com, Careers Colorado, and LocalCareers Network. That growth,
says Matos, is a result of Jobing.com’s focus on local recruiting needs. “Unlike the
untargeted national sites, Jobing.com is dedicated solely to recruiting at the local level,
connecting organizations with local people so they can build relationships and hire more
effectively.”
Celebrating a decade of doing business this year, the CanJobs.com network includes a
number of significant provincial domains in Canada, such as Ontario, Alberta, Manitoba,
Quebec, and British Columbia. At the local level, the network includes domains specific
to major cities such as Ottawa, Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, and Edmonton.
CanJobs.com will continue to operate independently as a wholly-owned subsidiary of
Jobing.com, and remain headquartered in Ontario with various offices opening
throughout Canada to serve the local city and provincial recruiting needs. Jobing.com
veteran Jon Schneider, Vice President of Operations, will oversee integration. “The
CanJobs.com portfolio is the most complete domain set in the Canadian local jobs space
and we're excited to bring the company, its employees, its clients, and its job seekers into
the Jobing.com family,” he said. “As Jobing.com continues our expansion, we looked to
the strong and robust economy in Canada for our first international expansion.”
“By continuing to operate independently, CanJobs.com will continue to remain sensitive
to Canadian business needs and Canadian business culture,” Schneider said. “Jobing.com
is an entrepreneurial driven company, so CanJobs.com employers – a large majority of
whom are entrepreneurs, will continue to see their needs well serviced.”

JOBING GOES INTERNATIONAL/ PAGE 3
Jobing.com was born in 2000 when Matos, who was the director of human resources for
a regional publishing and media company in Arizona, began to realize there was a
phenomenal opportunity to leverage the power of the Internet to connect employers and
job seekers with a focus on the local marketplace.
“Jobing.com was founded on the belief that recruiting great people is the driving force
behind the success of every business and retaining great talent is the key to that success,”
Matos said. “Since our inception, we have been singularly focused on connecting local
employers and job seekers. Our growth across our markets is the result of the dedication
and commitment of the entire Jobing.com team. We are very proud of our
accomplishments, but we have only scratched the surface of our potential.”
Jobing.com was launched as a Phoenix site and enjoyed swift success. Through the
strategic acquisitions and new market start-ups, Matos’ Internet job board evolved into an
online community that provides the forum, resources, and technology to connect
organizations and job seekers in 18 major metropolitan communities. Known for its
innovative recruiting solutions and bold marketing strategies, Jobing.com has grown to
become the nation’s largest, locally-focused employment media provider, serving some
15,000 organizations with recruiting needs and welcoming more than four million visitors
to its site every month. Earlier this week, Jobing.com was named for the third
consecutive year on Inc. Magazine’s annual list of the nation’s fastest-growing
companies.
