The State of Connecticut is located in the New England region of the northeastern United States, bordered by New York, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. One of the 13 original colonies, the state played an important part in the development of the country’s early government. Known as the “Constitution State”, Connecticut had the first constitution in North America.

Many financial organizations have also flourished in the area, including insurance companies and hedge funds. Because of this, the state has the highest per capita income and median household income in the nation.
