my lab
In true mad scientist style, I’m a naturally curious person and like to test a variety of different projects and manage a myriad of businesses.
The goal is less about cash than a healthy balance of creativity and entrepreneurialism. That said, here is a list of some of my ongoing initiatives and endeavors:
Cheezhead Wiki (beta)
- Wikis have taken the world by storm. Just ask the folks at Wikipedia. They have yet to gain a foothold in business-as-usual, but that’s no excuse to add one to your own site. Cheezhead’s wiki puts the power of the Cheezhead domain in the hands of anyone in the employment space. Learn more. Site map.
HRSEO - This is my primary business and what keeps food in the fridge and clothes on my back. I have a genuine passion of search engine optimization and marketing. HRSEO is the vehicle that makes everything else go. Learn more.
CheezAds - I’m a strong believer in the blogosphere. I think blogs provide the ultimate spark for organizations to promote their products and services. That’s why I created CheezAds, a network of employment-related bloggers who sign-up to post text ads in their blogs for cash. In most cases, CheezAds offers a revenue stream superior to AdSense or any other solution. Sign up today!
uCheez - Have you ever been to a tradeshow and loved walking up and down the expo hall to see all the businesses exhibiting and promoting their wares? This is the concept of uCheez, a site that enables visitors to shuffle through a wide variety of employment-related Web sites. Add your site today.
Oaseo - A job site catering to search marketing professionals, I became fascinated with the idea of adding a vertical job search engine’s API into your own site and automatically having a ton of job content. I also have a large number of job sites that I work with, so I think it’s important to continually walk-the-walk in order to have a better feel for the industry. Post your SEO jobs today. I also maintain an SEO blog.
CheezJobs - I’m intrigued at the idea of blogs providing job content. Although I think Cheezhead fails to fit a specific target audience at this time, I decided to add job postings to the site to see what might happen. More to come in this area, I’m sure. Post a job for free now.
Blogs With Jobs - Again with the job content on blogs! Although I think the ability for blogs to enable employers to put their opportunities in front of a tremendously valuable and targeted audience, I think those same employers may be overwhelmed by the number of blogs out there. As if the number of job boards wasn’t confusing enough, right? Blogs with Jobs hopes to help employers cut through the clutter and find the best blogs to advertise their job postings, as well as create a system for users to actively comment and rate those blogs.
Lexiqon Directory - Mirroring popular directories like DMOZ and Yahoo!, as well as article directories like Ezine Articles, Lexiqon enables sites to add themselves via category in order to be found by surfers all around the Net. The backlinks aren’t too bad for your Google rankings either. List your employment site or list an article today.
So, that’s it, at least for now. There are many more in my head, but not enough time in the day. Do you have a project that you’d like to run by me or maybe need some help with? Feel free to contact me. I’m always interested in collaboration if it gets my juices flowing.
