The recent search partnership deal with Yahoo will put Bing’s marketshare somewhere around 28 percent and they’re likely to spend more and more to further dent Mountain View’s stranglehold (Twitter acquisition, anyone?). The push has led to an increase in questions regarding best practices for optimizing for Bing. You can argue for or against whether or not two main search players instead of three is a good thing, but the heightened interest is what it is. And although it’s early in the game, here are five tips on getting the most out of your Bing traffic numbers.

All Bing users seeking answers to-salary related queries will receive results from PayScale.com's 17.5 million+ dataset. PayScale is providing answers to salary queries on Bing for the 4000 most popular job titles (e.g. architect, concierge, lawyer). Searches will return national salary figures, with metro-specific information also available.

By Joel Cheesman - By now you know Microsoft is once again, stupidly valiantly trying to break Google’s sleeper hold on the search market with Bing. They’re even willing to throw $100 million into the endeavor. It’ll be interesting to see how much (or if) traffic increases across the jobosphere once the $100 million ad campaign fires up as a result of Bing referrals. I’m not putting a lot of stock in Bing’s long term chances, but they should make a few more job boards and employers happy in the short term. Here's why ...
