It looks like ERE is taking the potential of social media very seriously. First they brought us the Social Recruiting Summit at Google HQ, and now this news.

By Jen Carpenter - The first "unconference" aimed at social recruiting will bring together professionals in the recruiting world and involve attendees in a unique way. "So far, the most exciting part about the Social Recruiting Summit is that we promoted it almost entirely through social media," Scott Baxt, director of marketing at ERE, said. "We are eating the dog food, so to speak, and it tastes good."

By Laurie Ruettimann - Hello from sunny and fabulous San Diego, where I'm spending three days with the best and brightest sourcing and recruiting professionals at ERE Expo. The networking portion of the conference is well underway, and attendees are smiling, brandishing business cards, and shaking hands with wild abandon. By Vanessa Dennis - You wouldn't know there's a recession by listening to Todd Raphael, ERE's Editor-in-Chief, who engaged me in an optimistic and engrossing discussion about the employment landscape, the future of ERE, and recruiting in general. Raphael, who is in charge of ERE's U.S. and global conferences, the news and features on the web site, the print publication Journal of Corporate Recruiting Leadership, the ERE email newsletter, and the ERE Recruiting Excellence awards, sat down with me to talk about ERE's upcoming conference, why he thinks these are some of the best years to be a recruiter, and his favorite new vendors.
