By Vanessa Dennis - When Joel Cheesman initially reviewed Jigsaw last September, he wasn't impressed. At all. He wrote a fairly scathing review of the business directory's muddled privacy and removal policy, which he graded an "F" for failure to earn consumers' trust. Jigsaw's CEO Jim Fowler read the post and got to work creating a new 'absolutely open and transparent' policy. "Joel's post gave us a much needed kick-in-the-butt," Fowler said. "We have always been far more open and transparent than the Data Dinosaurs, but it wasn’t enough. We believe with automated removal/suppression that we have widened the gap. Just go try to see if you are on any competitive database, and try to get off of it." So take a look at what has changed and decide for yourself: does Jigsaw deserve a better grade?

By Joel Cheesman - According to a 2007 blog post, Marc Cenedella, CEO of TheLadders, thinks Jigsaw is nothing but a bunch of weasels whose removal policy is horrendous and company head, Jim Fowler, should be ashamed of himself. Is he right? We sat in on Fowler's presentation at Onrec in Chicago and came up with a similar opinion ... although we're not quite as harsh. We here at Cheezhead are pretty much a peace-loving group who don't like to rock the boat. But you probably already knew that.
