By Joel Cheesman - Over the last month or so, we’ve been gradually adding top-notch publishers and advertisers. All sites are employment-related. Site owners add our code to their site and go on with their lives. We run the advertising and cut them a payment via PayPal every month for 50 percent of revenue based on a CPM (cost-per-thousand) model. Punk Rock HR’s Laurie Ruettimann says, “I joined the network because it’s a win/win situation for both bloggers and advertisers. I know the ads placed on my blog will be relevant to my readership. The advertisers know that my readers are engaged and interested in their products. No one is trying to sell fake pharmaceutical drugs or sketchy weight loss products on my blog.”

By Joel Cheesman - With every competent sales rep at Monster gone or in the process of leaving, the company is apparently outsourcing parts of its revenue generation efforts to some of the most impressive masters of the English language the world has ever seen. Says a current Monster client of a recent e-mail message, “I just couldn’t believe how unprofessional the e-mail was. Over the last few years I’ve seen the obvious switch from ‘local’ representatives to ‘offshore’ reps and noticed the increasingly poor command of the English language, but this e-mail went beyond anything I’d ever seen before – especially from a company the size of Monster.” Check it!

By Joel Cheesman - Every year or so, we change the look of Cheezhead. Just get a little antsy, I guess. This redesign, however, is a bit more important. We're growing up. Most noticeably, I won't be the only author. We've hired a little help (more on that later). That may be a tough pill for some to swallow, but the fact is I simply can't keep up with all the news that should be reported and all the commentary that should be made. And besides, my brain's kinda empty after 3 years.
