Sources are telling us Monster is going through another round of layoffs in light of recent cuts over the past year. It's been called "Bloody Monday" on Facebook updates. Kathy O’Reilly, senior manager, media relations with Monster spun it by saying, “Over the past several days, we’ve announced internally two important moves that position Monster to meet the changing needs of our customers: the opening of a Technology Center of Excellence & Innovation in Cambridge, MA; and a re-structuring of our Product & Technology organization to support our strategic direction ..."

By Vanessa Dennis - The last day of this work week proved to be anything but a relief for Monster Worldwide employees, who were forced to deal with another security threat and technical issues that caused their main site to crash for several hours. If these problems weren't enough of a headache, Monster staff awoke Friday morning to find a stinging article about the job board's relevancy in BusinessWeek - a piece that quickly poured into all social media channels, much to the delight of the job board's loudest critics.
