realmatch partners with findlaw.com

Of the deal, RealMatch’s VP of business development said, “I honestly can’t imagine why any legal employer or recruiter seeking to hire any skilled legal professional wouldn’t use FindLaw’s job channel. It’s free to post; free to browse the profiles of matching candidates and applicants and they only have to pay if they find a candidate that matches their needs. The risk is no longer on the employer. It’s on the portal.”

the teen job market crisis

By Vanessa Dennis - A study released earlier this summer showed the greatest dip in teen employment levels in 60 years. Many youth are unable to secure any source of employment, as there exists simply more teens than jobs.

But there are several programs and government-funded initiatives popping up that are hoping to bridge this gap and provide youth with the cash and experience that comes with securing a job.

zamzim: the brits are coming!

By Joel Cheesman - UK-based job search engine Workcircle has launched in the U.S. via Zamzim. The site hopes to aggregate job content from job sites and drive traffic through “contextual, deep-linked, long-tail PPC campaigns across the major search engines.”

Zamzim and Workcircle CEO Simon Appleton believes there’s space in the already-crowded job search engine market, saying “We’re cheaper, simpler and more effective than buying PPC direct from the major search engines, and it certainly works here in the UK.”

job seeker alleges jobfox scam

By Vanessa Dennis - A reader of Cheezhead sent us an email claiming she was scammed by Jobfox. The user alleges that she attempted to use their new candidate Intros service, but was met with a generic email response and a pile of spam instead.

She said, “Basically I don’t see that Jobfox’s Mutual Suitability System gives ‘one-to-one relationships and connections between candidates and employers’ at all. My impression? Nice try, Jobfox.”
